Project Management & Planning
WebPartners has extensive experience in all areas of web development from brand new websites to upgrading your existing website all the way through to sophisticated development projects.
We have developed carefully structured processes to ensure each project we undertake is an enjoyable experience for our clients and the resulting website is a success.
Project Management and Planning
The first step is to work out what sort of site you need. A project manager will meet with you to assess your requirements and to get your project under way. Among other things they will develop a time line for your project, budget estimates and resource recommendations as well as providing you with a document as to exactly what we will be doing for you. Your project manager will be your key contact throughout your project and you will be kept up to date with regular project status reports.
Depending on the size of your project some or all of the following will also be offered:
Analysis
In order to help you pinpoint your objectives so you can achieve the highest quality experience for customers using your site, a WebPartners internet business analyst can take workshops or one on one meetings with you and/or your staff. Prototyping of your site will be undertaken if necessary and a WebPartners technical representative will be on hand if need be to help work through any technical issues. At the end of this process you will be given a document of your site requirements (activity diagrams, use cases, traceability etc) for your approval. If any further changes are required after you have signed off this document then our change request process will ensure any alterations are recorded, cost changes reflected in the budget estimate so that everybody is kept up to date.
Design
To ensure your project requirements are fully understood our internet business analyst will relay information directly to the website designer assigned to your project. A design will be produced matching your needs and a document given to you detailing the design and any technical solutions required, for example hardware or network requirements, database schemas, security and performance requirements.
Development
Then the project is passed to our in-house developers. Our developer and designers have a wide range of skills necessary for producing a website that not only looks good but will also function well for you. Our offerings include flash multimedia design, logo development, graphic design, HTML, XML, ASP, PHP, javescript, visual basic, databases and SQL database development to name but a few.
Testing
This critical phase of the process ensures your project will function correctly when it goes live on the internet. This allows us to iron out any potential kinks to ensure that your website will be hassle free. This testing phase includes User Acceptance Testing (UAT), load testing and any integration testing with your existing systems. Your site it then ready to go live.
Project Close
After your project has been completed WebPartners is always on hand to help if you have any further questions regarding your website.
