SEO top 10 tips
SEO stands for search engine optimisation.
Search engine optimisation refers to the creation and maintenance of web pages that are easily crawled (indexed) by search engines.
Put simply, if a page has been optimised correctly the pages should rank higher in search results.
Take a look at a few SEO tips that may help your ranking on Google and Yahoo.
1. Don’t ever use automatic submission tools.
Ignore spam and websites that offer to submit your website to hundreds of search engines.
At best they are a waste of time and money - at worst they can actually hurt your ranking.
2. Don’t use duplicate content.
Writing the content for a website can be time consuming.

Google is aware of this. Once it indexes a website and discovers the same content elsewhere it often deletes, from its database, the content created second.
To find what Google has picked up/indexed on each page:
1. Type your whole domain name into the search panel
2. Click cache text
3. Click the highlighted word text
3. Keyword Phrases
When doing an online search most people tend to type in a string of words.
You need to work out what search words and phrases users are typing in and add these into your website.
Google offers a good entry-level tool to help you work out the most common phrases typed for your industry. For more information visit Google Adwords.
4. Density
One of the things Google looks for when it indexes pages is how often a keyword or phrase occurs.
Tricking search engines by using invisible text for example, won’t work, and may get your website banned from Google.
Instead provide a strong opening paragraph, as Google will search this for keyword density.
5. Name Your Pages
